I get plenty of work done,
I can say for sure,
when the men disappear-
the ones who never lied
but let their stories speak,
whose company I seek
’cause I don’t believe.
We sit and talk
though I know that they’ll leave,
evaporate in front of me.
They are all fighting, I guess,
big battles I don’t understand;
though they lace up their boots,
take a swig and are off,
I’ve never seen one won or lost.
