Day 125 – Little Lights

How fast the world turns, when we all are in the dark
waving our flashlights around-
how narrow the scope of our little lights,
and how quickly they are spent.

How small are we in vague tunnels,
with dimensions we’ll never define
how courageous to think we could ever see the sun
could ever even nurture a spark.

We struggle and smash together, but
how much sadder are those who try
to make more light, to ignite anything
in our blindness, in our shame.

How fast the world turns, when we all are in the dark
waving our flashlights around-
how narrow the scope of our little lights,
and how quickly they are spent.
