Day 257 – Baby Man

Ugh, what kind of soldier is this,
suckin’ on a lolly ’cause his leg fell asleep,
sulkin’ on a bench at the swimming pool
’cause the water’s a bit too cold?

Baby man,
you won’t ever dive in,
you won’t ever brave it,
you won’t ever go it alone

Baby man,
always need a band-aid,
always need a back rub,
always need somebody to listen

Ugh, what kind of women are we,
’cause he can get it, he must deserve it,
’cause he deserves it he mustn’t be without
our mommy-desire to supply?

Baby man,
when you gonna wake up,
when you gonna stand up,
when you gonna go it alone?

Mommy girls,
when you gonna wake up,
when you gonna stand up,
when you gonna leave him alone?

  1. Its always hard, Both parents and children are at fault. Its a tough world, some parents learn to let go and some children always love to hold hands.. Good poem 🙂
