Day 305 – I’m Not Real Today

The world and me are not one,
not on cracked-up days like this.

Solitude can make you press the walls
but the walls may bend
when no one’s watching,

and when your normal answers shrink
and become delirious jokes
on long car rides

you can see the madness,
though you hardly believe it.
I’m not real today.

  1. An interesting poem. But I am not completely sure what you are if you are not real. heh. I liked the lines, “Solitude can make you press the walls may bend.” “and when your normal answers shrink and become delirious jokes.” Woah! A lot is going on and it sounds like the person is out of control. Powerful analogies.
