Day 363 – A Quandary

Life, miraculously and freely given,
is so often wasted- unnoticed.

The only people who truly deserve life
are those who find something
to die for.

For if the greatest thing we own,
which was not earned,
is to be kept still and safe
and fearfully hoarded away,
then we are but selfish cowards.

The world is full of cowards.

But even if we are to find those sacred things
which make the soul burn in earnest and die for them, flicker out,
what is it for
but a few smug last seconds
of triumph?

The world is full of cowards.

The only people who truly deserve life
are those who find something
to live for.

  1. In my opinion the people that don’t find something to die for are the ones that shall be shown what there is to die for. There are no cowards in this world, but only people that did not find out yet, that there is nothing to be afraid of but a lot to die for. I encountered so many people like that, and they are so grateful for being shown and therefore they could let go of their fears. They simply did not know.
