Year 2: Day 10 – Further Attempts

We can’t keep doing this forever,
one of us is gonna break
sooner or later;
that’s where the hope lies,
at least.

What causes the masses of jellyfish
to wash up on the shore?
Who asks for any more?

Listen, when we get finished
it’s gonna be done
and that’ll be all-
dead carcasses on the beach
like we deserve.

But no one asks for anything more
than just the end of death.

  1. This is immensely relating to me; it’s making me ponder from my own perspective of how I may just need to part ways with my lover any day soon.

    It could be today, tomorrow or the next year. It’s hanging by a thread. It’s unpredictable.
