Year 2: Day 32 – The Way We Kill Each Other

The way we kill each other,
we call it being young-
we’re savage beasts
who can’t help it.

Everything, everything
is lost on the young-
we’re blind hungry destroyers
dying and taking the world with us.

But the punishment for youth
is living
and remembering
and regretting

so I think
we get more
than our due.

Don’t forget to check out my first anthology, Candy Pizza: Poetry that’s Fun and Healthy, available on Amazon & Kindle.
