Year 2: Day 90 – Five Minutes

They said,
“You can’t write a poem
that means anything
in five minutes.”

I said,
“Watch me.”

But then they
didn’t
read
it.

  1. Ah. Yes. Sadly, I bet some of these people consider themselves writers and are trying to rationalize something about their own “writing” process. I really enjoy your poetry, as I’ve told you occasionally. I don’t comment much, but I truly appreciate your poetry and respect your individual process. Thanks for sharing this great, enlightening poem, which captures the experience of writers.
    Take care.

  2. I have come to the conclusion no one reads the short content I leave either. I switched blogs, made several brief announcements saying as much, then giving my NEW web address, and still have people following me on my old thread. I am sure part of the problem lies with faulty links, but not all. 🙂
