Year 2: Day 105 – Something About Stuff

It hurts to own
and I think we’re all paying the price,
paid the price,
got a discount,
used a coupon,
traded in,
got a better one,
paying the price.

“I’d like to help
but he’ll probably spend it on drugs.”

Everything I own, I earned it;
the world is fair, is fair
the world, the world, the world
is fair.

“I’d like to help
but he’ll probably spend it on beer.”

Stuff to have and things to hold,
items to own and belongings
to belong to me-

“There’s an asteroid hitting tomorrow,
he’ll probably spend it on food.”
